NBA Fans Discuss The Worst Things LeBron James Has Done To Their Franchise: “LeBronto Haunts Me”

A lot of teams in the NBA have faced improbable odds, but in the modern NBA, facing prime LeBron James was similar to going up against incredible odds. Even when his teams were bad and uncompetitive, James was single-handedly carrying them to the NBA Finals and breaking the hearts of fans around the association.

Fans decided to discuss some of the worst things LeBron did to the franchise they root for.

A Toronto Raptors fan didn’t mention any one instance but just said he’d rather not talk about it due to the four consecutive years of playoff beatdown LeBron’s Cavaliers handed them.

A Hawks fan reminded the world that LeBron swept their 60-win team with four All-Stars in the 2015 Eastern Conference Finals.

A Suns fan discussed the 2021 Western Conference first-round series, as the Lakers dominated in Game 3 and took a 2-1 series lead. Ultimately, Anthony Davis got hurt and the Lakers lost the series in six.

Orlando Magic fans are spoiled, remarking that he does have a playoff game-winner against them, but they’re the only team he’s never beaten in the playoffs.

Warriors fans swarmed in to discuss the 2016 Finals.

A Clippers fan discussed LeBron not signing with them when they recruited him heavily.

A Bulls fan discussed when LeBron’s miracle buzzer-beater in Game 4 of their 2015 series saved the Cavaliers from a 3-1 deficit that they would have struggled to overcome.

James ran roughshod over the East for over a decade, so it’s natural that Eastern Conference fanbases aren’t big fans of James and what he’s done to their franchises. GOATs impact all teams around the league, and James, who is the only player to have scored 40 points or more against every team in the NBA, has made one of the biggest impacts ever.

LeBron James May Soon Join A New Team

This is the final season on LeBron’s current contract with the Lakers, as the all-time leading scorer can decline his player option at the end of the year and become a free agent. This is something he may severely consider, as Bronny James will be drafted in the NBA next year. They could become the first father-son duo in NBA history to share the floor.

They’ve already joked about their next stop being the Atlanta Hawks, so it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out. James is unlikely to be extending his contract midseason, so the Lakers will battle with the question of whether James is going to stick with the plan and retire as a Los Angeles Lakers or join a new franchise to play with his son.

James had a solid 22-23 regular season, averaging 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists. The new-look Lakers team will have high hopes next season due to their versatile depth and a strong end to last season with a run to the Western Conference Finals.
