Chelsea Has Completed The Recruitment Of Young Brazilian Talent

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of another young star after announcing the capture of Brazilian winger Angelo Gabriel from Santos in a deal worth a reported £13million.

The Blues have made a habit of snapping up South American talent since Todd Boehly‘s takeover last year and it appears there are no plans to slow down.

Gabriel is recognised as an upcoming star in Brazil after making 129 first-team appearances for Santos, despite being only 18.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is attempting to get to grips with his new squad ahead of a first pre-season in charge of the Blues as they travel to America.

The club’s latest arrival arrives with a strong reputation after making history while playing in the Brazilian top-flight where he broke through at Santos.

Ages just 15, Gabriel became the youngest ever player to feature in Brazil’s Serie A when he made his Santos debut against Fluminense in the famous Maracana.

He later scored his first senior goal when the Brazilian outfit travelled away to Lorenzo in the Copa Libertadores competition.

Gabriel is a left-footed winger and could be deployed as a replacement for Christian Pulisic or Hakim Ziyech – if the Moroccan is able to secure a summer departure from Stamford Bridge.

He arrives in London with five goals and 10 assists to his name during his time in Brazil.

The youngster is expected to join up with the club’s first-team squad before they jet out to America and could be sent out on loan ahead of next season.

Chelsea will play Wrexham, Borussia Dortmund, and Liverpool while in America.
