Manchester United star Marcus Rashford will charge up the list of the Premier League’s highest earners with his new £375,000-a-week deal… but where does the striker now sit in the top 10?

Manchester City star Erling Haaland tops the Premier League’s list of highest earners, with the Norwegian’s salary after bonuses vastly exceeding the wages earned by team-mate Kevin De Bruyne and Liverpool‘s Mo Salah.

Mail Sport revealed in October that Haaland’s basic salary was in line with City’s other top earners, however substantial, almost-guaranteed bonuses see his weekly wage surge beyond the £850,000 mark.

Marcus Rashford meanwhile has penned a new £375,000-per-week five-year deal at Old Trafford – replacing a former Manchester United team-mate in the top 10.

Here, Mail Sport takes a look at the top 10 highest earners in the top flight.

All figures have been independently sourced, however some of the numbers provided are approximations and not exact figures.

Man City star Erling Haaland is the Premier League’s highest earning player this season

Erling Haaland (Man City) – £865,000-per-week

Haaland took the Premier League by storm this season, with the Norwegian becoming the first player ever to be named both the Premier League Player and Young Player of the season, as well taking the Football Writers’ Association’s Footballer of the Year award.

He also shattered Andy Cole and Alan Shearer’s record for most goals in a Premier League season, after netting 36 goals in 35 games.

Overall, he scored 52 goals in 48 matches, helping City secure an historic Treble consisting of the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.

The most scary prospect for his competition is that he is only 22-years-old, but he has left himself with a massive challenge to come even close to last season’s tally when the new campaign begins.

Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) – £385,000-per-week

Kevin De Bruyne follows his Man City team-mate with the Belgian continuing to play a vital role for Pep Guardiola’s side.

The 31-year-old’s absence from the team on occasions last season had been questioned by pundits, but De Bruyne was instrumental in the closing weeks of the campaign when it mattered most.

De Bruyne scored 10 goals while providing an incredible 31 assists in all competitions last season, while he has now moved beyond the 350 appearance mark for City.

Mo Salah (Liverpool) – £385,000-per-week

Liverpool talisman Mo Salah is unsurprisingly the club’s top earner with the Egyptian having played a pivotal role in their recent success.

Salah put pen to paper on a new deal last July, with the improved terms approaching 400,000-a-week. The deal will keep the forward at Anfield until June 2025.

Salah was the fourth top scorer in the Premier League last season with 19 goals, while he has also provided 12 assists. His contribution was key to Liverpool’s resurgent form towards the end of the season,  though they narrowly missed out on a Champions League place – finishing four points off Newcastle.

Mo Salah is Liverpool’s highest earner having signed a £385,000-a-week deal last summer

Casemiro (Man United) – £375,000-per-week

The Brazilian international midfielder has played a crucial role since moving to Manchester United from Real Madrid for £60m last summer.

Casemiro played 53 matches for the Red Devils in all competitions last season, despite having been banned for seven domestic games having received two straight red cards.

The 31-year-old scored the opening goal in United’s Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle – though the Red Devils fell short against Man City in the first all-Manchester FA Cup final.

Marcus Rashford (Man United) – £375,000-per-week

The Man United forward is the newest entry inside the top ten – replacing David de Gea who left the club after 12 years this summer.

Rashford has rocketed up to joint fourth in the Premier League table, after a blistering season at Old Trafford which saw him score 30 goals in 56 games across all competitions.

It was just reward for an excellent campaign, and one in which was a dramatic upturn in form from the year prior – where he netted only five times in 32 games.

Marcus Rashford netted 30 goals last season – in comparison to just five in the 2021-22 season

Raheem Sterling (Chelsea) – £350,000-per-week

Raheem Sterling signed a five-year contract at Chelsea after completing a £50m move from Manchester City last summer.

The England international reportedly saw the £300,000-a-week wages he earned at City significantly increase when he moved to Stamford Bridge.

Sterling is still yet to hit the same heights at Chelsea amid the Blues struggles this season.

The forward will be hoping for more next season after netting just nine goals in his 38 matches during his debut campaign at the club.

Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea) – £325,000-per-week

Sterling reportedly overtook Romelu Lukaku as the Blues highest earner when he joined the club.

The Belgian forward spent last season on loan at Inter Milan. His move last summer came just a year after he had completed a £98m transfer from Inter to Chelsea.

Lukaku’s future is uncertain, though Juventus are emerging as favourites to sign him this summer after the Belgian is said to have snubbed Simeone Inzaghi’s side – after he failed to start their Champions League final loss to Man City.

Chelsea face a challenge should they decide to sell the 30-year-old given his wages were estimated at being between £325,000 and £450,00-per-week depending on bonuses.

Chelsea face a major decision on Romelu Lukaku’s future when his loan at Inter Milan expires

Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) – £300,000-per-week

Van Dijk has led Liverpool’s defence ever since his £75million move from Southampton back in January 2018.

The Dutch defender was a transformative signing for the Reds, with his performances crucial to helping Liverpool to win the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League one year later.

Van Dijk was named PFA Player of the Year in 2019, while also making the Team of the Year on three occasions.

The 31-year-old has admitted his performances dipped last season amid Liverpool’s challenging campaign, but has vowed to return to his consistent best.

Jack Grealish (Man City) – £300,000-per-week

Grealish became the Premier League’s first £100million footballer in the summer of 2021 when he made the move from Aston Villa to Man City.

The England star has established himself in the City team this season, playing an important role in their pursuit of major honours.

Grealish in March signed the most lucrative boot contract ever handed to a British footballer by becoming the face of Puma – penning a £10m-a-season deal.

He has also signed a £10m deal with Gucci and has a sponsorship with boohooMan believed to be worth around £1m.

Harry Kane (Tottenham) – £300,000-per-week

The England captain is unsurprisingly Tottenham’s highest earner, with Kane continuing to perform at the highest level despite the club’s turmoil.

Kane has broken both Tottenham and England’s goalscoring records in recent months, with the 29-year-old’s haul of 30 Premier League goals only bettered by Haaland last season.

The Spurs striker finished the campaign 47 goals behind Alan Shearer’s Premier League record of 260.

The Spurs star is set to enter the final 12 months of the six-year deal he signed back in 2018.

Speculation continues to mount over his immediate future, with Bayern Munich keen on signing the Spurs striker.
