At the Chiefs camp, Patrick Mahomes dodges a bee attack by frantically running

There’s no slowing down the buzz around Patrick Mahomes.

The NFL has been trying to figure out a way to keep the reigning league and Super Bowl MVP in check since he entered the league back in 2017, to no avail.

But Mother Nature decided to step in and give it a shot as a bee swarmed around a group of Chiefs players at training camp Thursday.

The bee appeared seemingly out of nowhere, but just like when Mahomes, 27, sees defenders coming off the edge to take him down, he showed off his elusive s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁s by dodging the incoming threat and getting out of trouble.

Maybe even more impressive is that the quarterback also was holding onto a football the entire time he was evading the bee, a sight that opposing NFL defenders know far too well.

After the incident, Mahomes — who avoided the sack — wasted no time replying to the video, and he made it very clear why he brought out the evasive maneuvers well before the start of the season.

“I don’t mess with bees,” Mahomes tweeted with a few laughing emoji.

Backup quarterback Shane Buechele and offensive coordinator Matt Nagy were also seen fending off the bee, with Buechele shooing away the buzzer with his hands.

Mahomes is coming off not only one of the best seasons of his career but also one of the best seasons for a quarterback ever in NFL history.

He led the league in passing (5,250) yards and touchdown passes (41) en route to his second Super Bowl title.

With Mahomes still under center, Chiefs fans will have plenty to bee-lieve in the club as it looks to repeat as champions.
